Modernizing

The U.S. Electric Grid

What is Grid Week?

G rid Week provides an opportunity for grid modernization organizations to hold m eetings and participate in collaborative sessions that include leading speakers.

The fourth National Town Meeting on Demand Response will be held at Grid Week.

Towards a modern grid

Imagine a grid where consumer electric devices communicate in real-time with generation, transmission and distribution. A new realization is emerging that will result in a decentralized electricity grid, a far cry from the central structured system of the past. A modern smart grid will be for energy what the Internet has done for information. Grid Week is focused on this vision.
